Assembly of pickling tanks

Project Description

In June 2015, the company ArcelorMittal awarded the company ICP SAS a contract for the replacement of pickling tanks for the FOS-SUR-MER site (in the Bouches-du-Rhône department).

Three tank items were intended to replace part of the pickling line originally created by BEUGIN in the 1970s.

From review to assembly on site

ICP SAS favoured local partners in this particular case. The rubber-coated tanks built with bricks on the La Comté site mobilised exceptional means of lifting and transportation taking into account their dimensions and weight in excess of 50 tons.

It took a week to transport in special transporters the tanks from La Comté to the end customer, where they were then installed by application teams of ICP SAS in late 2015.
